Fabric and quilting tools are expensive! It’s hard to justify spending the money on something you don’t know if you are going to like. Not only that, figuring out which quilting tools and notions you need leaves you with more questions than answers. I remember that all too well when I first learned to quilt. In fact, I was a serial hobby bouncer, the kind that invests in all the stuff and then it ends up sitting unused because it wasn’t for me. Let me tell you, quilting was the last thing I ever thought I’d enjoy! Looking at the prices of everything had me making do with less than good tools because I just wasn’t prepared to spend money on something that was going to end up sitting on the shelf collecting dust.
I used a regular school ruler and some chalk to draw lines and not very sharp scissors to cut those fabric pieces out.
