Set In Motion

The Story

Have you ever had a project that just takes off and takes you along for an unexpected ride? That’s exactly what happened with Set In Motion. It started as an idea for a summer “design-a-long” series that I released on YouTube in 2024. Little did I know, this design would be the catalyst that Set In Motion an entirely new chapter in my quilting life.

Set in Motion is inspired by the way one moment, one decision, can ripple through time. This quilt design captures that sense of momentum and possibility. This quilt is the perfect way to commemorate a major life event such as a graduation, wedding, career change, or any other choice that you or someone else has made.

the Pattern

• Beginner friendly but requires some organization.

• Quick to make - I use strip piecing methods and batch sewing to efficiently piece the blocks.

• Generous yardage amounts are given, there is enough to make a scrappy binding for the quilt.

• A quilt block overview is shown at the beginning of the pattern.

• There are lots of diagrams to go with each step.

• Pressing directions are indicated.

• Blank colouring pages are included in both quilt sizes so you can create your own unique look.
