Quilting wasn’t even my idea, it was my husband’s!
Hi! I am Krista Russell, the pattern designer and long arm quilter behind Timeless Quilt Studio.
My quilting journey began with my second wedding anniversary. I decided that cloth napkins in our wedding colours were a must for our cotton anniversary. I didn’t know how to sew, didn’t have a sewing machine, and had no one to make them for me. What is a woman to do, but go buy a sewing machine!
My husband and I went shopping at the local quilt store which happens to be a block away from our home. While I was busy with machine demos, my husband was looking at all the quilts on display. On our way home, machine in hand, my husband informed he needed a quilt after those napkins were made. I did some research and found Melanie Hamm’s first quilt tutorial. I was hooked with that first quilt!
